Projects & Passion

As noted in Scott Ludwig’s new book A PASSION FOR RUNNING, “Jerry Dunn is a man on a mission.”

I suppose I’d have to agree with Scott.  It does seem that I’m continually creating new “missions” for myself.  Take 2010 for example.  In October of next year the inaugural Run Crazy Horse Marathon & Half Marathon will make it’s debut.  And no sooner than we put that to bed (in fact, probably the next week) I’ll begin a 3,000 mile run/walk/bike from Calais, Maine to Key West, Florida as a major fund raiser for the East Coast Greenway Project.

Oh yeah, almost forgot about the other idea that has already moved past the conceptualization stage:  The Home Team.  This is going to look very much like the Luekemia Society’s Team In Training Program, only it will benefit Habitat for Humanity.

Stay tuned for updates on these projects and more!

    Hi, Jerry.
In my search for 2010 marathon dates, particularly in the beautiful Black Hills, I was pleased to see your new site. I am always on the look-out for motiviation to continue my running program, and you certainly help with that. Thank you.
I had the pleasure of listening to and meeting Elaine Doll-Dunn at the Des Moines marathon several years ago. She too is an inspiration, and is definately a remarkable women.
I am looking forward to your site updates and hope I can participate in the DMTM and Crazy Horse Marathon in 2010.
