WELCOME TO, the online home of “America’s Marathon Man,” Jerry Dunn. This is where you can find ONE perspective on MANY things, but the primary goal here is to give you the tools and resources that you need to become the best that you can be.

What this means is that this 63 year old, semi-technolgically literate, outspoken Baby Boomer is going to lope into the social networking arena and see if he can stay in the saddle long enough. Put in less-western lingo…I’m going to start building a “fan base” of like minded people, most of whom will at least initially, be connected to running. I plan to share some of the things that I’ve learned over the last 34 years and 50,000 + miles of running. will also be a venue through which you can share YOUR “how-running-has-affected-my-life” stories.

My long range vision for stretches far beyond what I’ve just said. Like long distance running, once the gun goes off, and you head in the direction of the finish line, you enter unpredictable territory. Your “race plan” may work…it may not. But you can be assured that the journey from the start line to the finish line will be interesting. The trek will undoubtedly require you to pay attention to what’s going on within yourself and what’s going on around you. It will demand that you be open to changing your plans. You will be forced to be strong enough to push through to the finish line. And hopefully, at the end of the day, you’ll savor your accomplishment and share the joy of the journey.

So I invite you to lace up and come to the starting line and together we’ll make our way along the trail to the finish line.
